Australian couture from Sydney with Lebanese roots. Hand-beaded silk gowns and a bespoke process built around each individual bride.
Steven Khalil. Australian Couture with Lebanese Heritage.
Steven Khalil founded his Sydney couture house in 2003, drawing on a Lebanese heritage and an Australian upbringing. Trained at the sewing machine from age 11 and formally educated in fashion by 19, Khalil spent years mastering his craft at one of Sydney's most respected bridal ateliers before launching his own house. His gowns are constructed from superb silks, duchesse satins, silk organzas, and fine crepes, each piece hand-beaded and embroidered by expert artisans in his Paddington studio.
Drawing on the classical traditions of European couture, Khalil has developed a signature aesthetic that feels both timeless and unmistakably contemporary. His house works closely with each bride individually, creating a personalised process in which every detail is tailored to the woman wearing it. His gowns have been worn by Jennifer Lopez, Carrie Underwood, and Emily Ratajkowski, among many others.
